SriLankan Airlines was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in the SriLankan capital Colombo. It is the national airline of Sri Lanka and a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Bandaranaike International Airport is the main hub for its operational.
SriLankan Airlines is highly reputable internationally and in Asia, especially after the acquisition of Emirates Airline of 43.6% of its shares. SriLankan Airlines operates flights to more than 41 international destinations presently. It owns a fleet of 19 modern aircraft of various Airbus model.

The seats recline to 180 degrees on selected aircraft model converting into fully flat bed comfortable for deep sleep. The passengers are offered free delicious meals and refreshing beverages. The Business class cabin is equipped with individual 15 inches screens supported by entertainment system. It contains more than 20 TV channels, an extensive library of audio material, radio channels, games and latest movies from different cultures. In addition, the passengers are offered a travel kit containing the basic personal care items.
Seats on Economy class cabin are comfortable and the cabin is equipped with individual screens supported by entertainment program. It contains more than 100 movies, radio channels, and games. The passengers are offered complimentary meals from different world cuisines, beverages and snacks served every 45 minutes.
