The residence comprises a traditional building (the former Governor's palace) and 2 annexes in keeping with �le de R� architecture. The 3 buildings enclose a private park. There are 87 rooms in total. WLAN Internet access and a laundry service are available for a fee. A car park is provided for guests arriving by car. Younger guests are sure to enjoy the children's playground.

From Paris: Take the A6 motorway, followed by the A10 motorway. Then take exit 33 for Rochefort/La Rochelle/Surg�res. Take the RN248, followed by the RN11 towards La Rochelle. At La Rochelle, drive along the Rocade ring road towards l'�le de R�/p�age de l'�le de R�. After crossing the �le de R� Bridge, take the D 735, following the North Itinerary via Rivedoux and La Flotte as far as Saint-Martin-de-R�. At the first roundabout continue straight on, and at the second roundabout follow the signs for Saint-Martin-de-R�. Upon passing the fortification, take an immediate left following the sign for the residence down Rue de l'H�pital. At the end of this road is the Place de la R�publique. Take a right, followed by the next left, driving past L'�tude Notariale, L'H�tel de Ville and the post office. Then take the next left. On the opposite side of the square is the Rue des Gouverneurs and the reception.
