Acquired in 1974 by the current owners, this country house, which has had various uses over the centuries, from housing to a school, dispensary and health centre, has been carefully refurbished and adapted while retaining all the original architectural style of the manor houses of Madeira. It offers 30 rooms, spread throughout the manor house and a new wing which was built and decorated according to the architectural style of the time. The interior of this country house is of modern design and comfort. Guests are welcomed in the lobby and can relax in the TV lounge. They can also enjoy a drink at the bar and dine in the restaurant which serves a mixture of local, national and international dishes. There is a car park for those arriving by car. There is also a mini museum, where visitors can appreciate traditional artefacts from the island.
