Founded in 1946, Cathay Pacific Airways is the flag carrier of Hong Kong and it is one of the world's major airlines rated as a five-star airline. Cathay Pacific is a member of Air Transport Association (IATA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and it is a founding member of Oneworld Alliance. Today, it serves 181 destinations across 48 countries around the world. It has a fleet of 146 modern aircraft with an average service age of 8 years for an aircraft. Services and amenities on Cathay Pacific Business Class cabin are similar to those found in the First Class. At airports, the passengers are assisted in check-in procedures and are eligible for access to waiting-lounges to relax, carry on their business activities and to enjoy the lavish advantages in lounges. In-flight amenities include adjustable seats converting into flat beds suitable for deep sleep during long-haul flights. Seats in Premium Economy class cabin are larger, adjustable to a larger degree compared with seats in the standard Economy cabin.
